Despite a very difficult Californian cherry season this year in both volume and quality, one major Californian cherry packer actually came out financially ahead. Rivermaid Trading Company of Lodi, California both increased the revenue earned from its cherry crop due to the size accuracy achieved and reduced their packing costs to 1/3 of what they were when using mechanical graders.

GP Graders Successfully Releases Fourth Camera on AirJet® Cherry Grader. 

We have now successfully introduced a fourth NIR camera located directly below the cherry to detect the “hidden side” of the cherry. Previously a major limitation to electronic grading this breakthrough innovation from GP Graders now allows you to see the “whole cherry”, most particularly, nose cracks and softness.
