The weight of every single piece of fruit on a cup and roller system can be measured with our built-in weighing system. Measurements within a tiny margin (less than 0.035 ounces) are possible, even at high speeds of up to 14 cups/second.
Specialized algorithms help to determine the orientation of the product such as its diameter, length, curvature and surface – the shape can also be determined. Our software is fast too; it can measure up to 14 apples per second, with an accuracy of 0.1mm!
COLOR SEPARATION The color of the fruit is an excellent indicator of the ripeness and quality of the fruit. Our color module enables you to select the color by which you would like to grade the fruit, using live feedback from high-resolution cameras.
The internal quality system detects internal browning, water core and other internal defects. Testing and operating results have proven that our internal quality performance is superior to the competition and performs well on apples regardless of size or variety.
To determine how many rotten spots does an apple have or what percentage of the apple is rotten, a color module alone is not enough to accurately detect defects for some properties of the fruit.
