How long have you been working with GP Graders?
Since July 2021. Almost three years now. Time flies.
What has been your favourite project at GP Graders?
It is difficult to say. For me, the stone fruit installation at Mammone’s, my first installation, was very remarkable. I had a lot to learn and many moving pieces that resulted in a pretty straightforward machine. But mostly, it’s the people you work with every day that I like most in the role.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Emails, work on software, helping a bit on the floor when they need something from me related to computers. I do some tests on new hardware and evaluate a particular kind of fruit under the cameras. I am never bored and always learning.
What would people never guess you do in your role?
I’m often asked to translate things from Spanish to English.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
The teamwork and the professional relations that I have developed with customers. Farmers are very resourceful people, and they always teach you something.

Food and water supplies, My toolbox, and a good collection of books.
