Cherries & Sugar Plums In Young, NSW

Valley Fresh Cherries & Stonefruits was established in 2005 by Barisha and Kathy Batinich when the opportunity arose to purchase a cherry and stonefruit orchard on the outskirts of Young NSW.

Producing premium quality cherries for local and export markets, in 2019, Barisha and Kathy, made the investment in a complete cherry grading and sorting line. Receival tank and elevator, cluster cutter, grader, sorting belts and electronic carton fillers were installed, rendering the Valley Fresh setup as one of the most efficient packhouses in Australia.

By using GP Graders’ new grading lines for plums, we were able to extend our packing season by another 4 weeks after the cherry season had wrapped up.
