So, when the need to develop machinery that represented the epitome of innovation and function, we went all in to pioneer a range of ‘sanitary-grade’ fruit sorting machinery.

In a high-volume professional packing house, where every minute counts, the requirement to implement a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for cleaning as efficiently and effectively as possible is priority one. Our new sanitary grade range of machinery is a completely unique design, re-imagined from the foundations of over 60 years of experience, the sanitary range of graders will serve your business for decades, representing compounding savings and a measurable return on investment.

Food-grade Materials, IP Rated and Easy Wash Down

Our range of sanitary graders have been designed according to the hygiene and sanitation standards laid out by 3-A SSI. An all stainless steel chassis, no flat surfaces for water collection, quick release components and belts and food-grade materials make for machinery that can literally be washed down quickly and easily at the end of an operating shift. Add to this, all IP rated electrical fittings, sealed cases for computers and circuitry and the roller brush cleaners to keep conveyor cups clean and it’s easy to see why these machines are the choice in the busiest of pack-houses.

Optimised for High-Yield Operations

The grader range are best suited to high volume, machine-harvested and fruit processing scenarios. Blueberries, for example, are notorious messy fruits to process. Plump flesh and a thin skin means they’re much more prone to secrete sugars through the equipment.

Even though our machines handle fruit with the gentlest care, introducing spoiled product onto the line is unavoidable. This is what makes ease-of-cleaning one of the most important features of the sanitary grader range. Uncomplicated but regular cleaning of the machine not only ensures your the pack-house stays hygienically compliant but also prolongs the life of machine parts and apparatus.

Compact Design to Reduce Floor Space

Floor space is money tied up in your business so we’ve design the sanitary range of produce graders to minimise the space required to process fruit. Thanks to the defect detection capabilities of gpVision™, there is no longer a need to have long inspection belts. Fruit can be easily directed to auxiliary packing equipment such clam shell fillers, pitting machinery or bulk fillers.

Future Ready

Like all with GP Graders machines, scalability is considered so we can support you through your business’s growth. We regularly build 8 lane machines on 16 lane chassis, and return years later to upgrade our customers machines, allowing you to grow the machine with your production growth. And when you’ve outgrown the largest chassis we build, a second machine can be installed parallel and integrated into the existing grading system, to run as one complete package.
