Position:

Grader Operator

How long have you been working with GP Graders?

I’ve just done my 3rd cherry harvest season.

What has been your favourite project at GP Graders?

The Lowdina Orchards Cherry Grading Line because I was involved in the build and installation and then ran the grader for the season, with great outcomes.

What does a typical day look like for you?

Depends on the time of year! For 6 months, I’m floating around various states, supporting growers and their graders, and the other half of the year, in the factory working hard on machine setup, calibration and testing.

What would people never guess you do in your role?

Mechanical adjustments! It just comes with the territory. When you’re onsite so much, it is inevitable that mechanical things crop up and need attention.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

Being right in the action, onsite, during harvest season.

Three words to best describe you:

Positive, humble & committed.

If you were stuck on an island, what three things would you bring?

Knife, flint & steel, rain jacket.

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?

Chris Pratt.
