We’re proud to partner with so many exceptional agricultural businesses, enhancing the overall productivity and excellence of the fresh produce industry globally.
Australia and New Zealand’s premiere horticulture event, Hort Connections, took place back in June and GP Graders’ Director, Stuart Payne and Head of Design, Timothy Stack were there to meet with some of the best in the business.
The annual Hort Connections trade show brings together growers, exhibitors and sponsors from across all sections of the industry. The three day event is a great way to check in on the horticultural state of play, and of course get together, share a few beers and network with like-minded folks.
The diverse, and packed program included speakers discussing the myriad challenges, changes and developments from across the industry. From growing and farming, through to supply chain and consumer experts, representatives from state government and leading members of the horticultural industry.
Aside from the official presentations, there were many face-to-face discussions, a welcome relief after Covid prevented these very human connections for so long. Chatting with growers and packers on the ground allowed Stuart and Tim to introduce the range of new technology GP Graders have developed over the “Covid years”, from the latest release version of gpVision™ with its super easy-to-use interface, upgraded camera configurations for different fruit types and a new traceability system, Exit Manager. All assist in taking expensive and impossible-to-get labour out of the equation.
Hort Connections is an important event for anyone in the horticulture industry and, for GP Graders, one of the best platforms on which to showcase our industry-leading grading technology. This year’s event was a great success and we’re looking forward to see what 2023 has in store.
