Vision Support Packages

With the summer harvest season in Australia fast approaching, it’s time to get your AirJet® grader in perfect working order for day one. To help prepare for the season, GP Graders are pleased to offer a Vision Support Package (VSP) service for your AirJet® grader. Our highly skilled technicians will conduct the VSP to ensure all hardware, electronics and software is checked and up to date to have you ‘ready to roll’ from the day the first fruit arrives in to your facility.

Why take out a VSP?

Software Updates – Make necessary updates to the latest software, ensuring that you are using the most up-to-date technology. (gpVision Only)

Test Cameras – Test all cameras to ensure they are working well to increase grading and sorting accuracy.

Validate Grading – Grading accuracy is validated to ensure size, colour and defect suits your requirements.

Condition Report – Audit the entire AirJet® grader (including belts and solenoids) to identify any required repairs or maintenance.

Training – Provide software refresher training including introducing any new features included with software upgrades. if your operator is off-site during the VSP, we will move training to online at a later date.

Run System Diagnostics – Enable the Airjet® system and ensure internal system diagnostics have been completed.

Scheduling Your VSP

The VSP is typically carried out 3-6 weeks prior to the beginning of the season. Our technicians try to carry out all VSP’s in your area together so we can lower the costs of travel and accommodation.

VSP Checklist

gpVision® Optical Grader Vision Technology

  • System backup
  • Perform comprehensive hardware and software maintenance to the system computers, including Vision Units and GUI computers as applicable
  • Software update check/update
  • Hardware integrity test
  • Verify the performance and functionality of all Light Emitting Diodes
  • Perform intricate cleaning of the dome LEDs and all accessible vision areas
  • Start up the grader and ensure internal system diagnostics have been completed
  • Verify the system status: green tick
  • Individually check camera alignment. Camera focus, polarization, and iris. Re-configure background separation and offsets
  • Validate the accuracy of the sizing on lane
  • Check the consistency of results using test balls
  • Simple interface installation/update
  • Post-calibration system backup

OR

AirJet® Grader Ellips Vision Technology

  • Clean all Log files. System defrags, System backup
  • Perform comprehensive hardware and software maintenance to the system computers, including dean of master, slave, and GUI computers as applicable
  • ProfiBus network test. Hardware integrity test
  • Verify the performance and functionality of all Light Emitting Diodes
  • Perform intricate cleaning of the dome LEDS and all accessible “Scan areas”
  • Start up the AirJet® grader and ensure internal system diagnostics have been completed
  • Verify the system status: green tick Individually check camera alignment. Camera focus, polarization, and iris. Re-configure background separation and offsets
  • Validate the accuracy of the sizing on each lane
  • Check the consistency of both colour and soft cameras using calibrated test trackball
  • Post-calibration system backup
  • Roller Rotation
  • Verify the settings and condition of the roller rotation belts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd stages) and confirm with customer if new belts required
  • Check singulator belts and bearings. Shorten the belts as required. Change the bearings as required

AND

Rollers & Chain

  • Check the tensions and perform necessary adjustments of the mechanical chain assemblies
  • Verify the condition of cups
  • Check for missing or damaged Rollers.
  • Replace Rollers as needed

Air Chambers

  • Inspect air chambers for leaks
  • Test all solenoids within the grader assembly
  • Replace solenoids as necessary
  • Perform Exit timing test

Drive Systems

  •  Provide any necessary lubrication to the bearing assemblies of the AirJet® Grader
  • Check the mechanical integrity of main drive

Electrical Performance

  • Check all devices power up
  • Check variable speed drives performance
  • Check all emergency stops and system reset function
  • Test HMI: manual mode/automatic start and stop

Mechanical Audit

  • Check what parts will need replacing before the season starts

Training

  • 2 hours of software training: on-site / remotely
  • Training will automatically be remote if operators are unavailable during the VSP

Remote Support

  • Installation and training using our new remote support system
  • 120 minutes of remote support included with VSP to be used during the upcoming season only
